An analysis for safety and environmentally friendly pedestrian characteristic and crossing facilities selection, (case study: Jalan Alternatif Cibubur)

Abstract Pedestrians can cross the road safely if suitable facilities are provided for traffic conditions. The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics pedestrians at zebra crossing and choose alternative confirm safety environmentally friendly pedestrian facilities. Based on analysis, men crossed faster than women, men’s speed was 1.28 m/sec women’s 1.20 m/sec. individual platoon, 1.23 m/s platoon 1.18 m/s. From survey results, pelican more recommended these conditions, travel time with a 17 seconds after simulating 10 seconds. This scenario reduce reach their destination by 7 seconds, therefore Pelican facility be used as an facility.
